Iqbal Supermarket is my very first Supermarket Planning Project. It has 8 principal areas: Vegetable, Daily &Dairy, Hot Food, Halal Meat, Frozen Food, Self-selection, Cosmetics and Check-out sections. The space planning was based on the circulation flow and universal accessibility. I kept at least 4 feet and half between each alley. The wall decoration patterns embody the middle-east culture and taste into the supermarket.
这是在Jeff那边实习的时候接触到的项目,刚刚毕业的我突然间遇到3万尺的大项目对我来讲真的是很有挑战性的。超市除去仓库和后勤外,销售区域总共可以分为8个大区:蔬菜区,鸡蛋奶制品区,香肠腊肉生鲜区,熟食区,清真牛羊肉区(中东超市独有,且不卖猪肉),冻柜区(包括海鲜,肉品以及一切冷冻加工食品),自选商品区,化妆品保养品区 和 结账柜台区域。然后每一区域再细分下去(比如说自选购物区下面还有调料行,干货行,零食行,面包行,日用品行等等)。超市里最重要的就是Signage,需要在显眼的地方摆放引人瞩目的Sign来为各位购物者指引方向找到大家想要的商品。同时,每个区域10尺高度以上都要有鲜明的图片用来突出区域主题。这个项目真正启蒙了我对于完善一个好项目的实用性的思考。虽然在Jeff那里的工作时间不算太久,但是真的学到了很多很重要的设计常识和在校园中所没有的宝贵经验。
